Do you want your business to be recognized as a green economy leader? We encourage you to sign the Vancouver Climate Pledge and voice your support for stronger action on climate change from governments around the world. The pledge will be unveiled at the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference. As an added incentive, the first 10 Tourism Vancouver members to take the pledge will receive a spot on a Vancouver Economic Commission banner.
The Vancouver Economic Commission recognizes there is a strong and clear business case for climate action, and that business is a critical agent for change. Join fellow members Chambar Restaurant and the Vancouver Aquarium and sign the pledge - the first 10 Tourism Vancouver members to submit their climate pledge will receive a spot on a special Vancouver Economic Commission banner!
Governments from around the world will meet this December in Paris to discuss international commitments to carbon reductions. The United Nations Climate Change Conference - otherwise known as the 21st Conference of Parties (or "COP21") - provides a pivotal opportunity to take action. Decisions made at this conference will influence the way we do business, as well as the world in which we do it. By signing this pledge, Vancouver companies are voicing their support for stronger action on climate change from governments around the world, and being recognized as green economy leaders
TELUS, Hootsuite, Vancity, MEC, Lush, Fairware, Mills Office Productivity, Novex and many other businesses have already signed. Will you?
