It’s almost spring cleaning time!
For more than 23 years, local businesses, community groups and residents have been coming together to help clean up neighbourhoods throughout Vancouver with more than 20,000 people participating in the City’s cleanup programs each year.
On Friday, April 27, Tourism Vancouver is co-hosting the launch event for Keep Vancouver Spectacular! Businesses can get in the spring cleaning spirit by joining the annual kick-off event. With involvement from partnering Business Improvement Associations, we’ll have the Downtown peninsula covered and clean to kick off the season.

Teardown & cleanup
Over the years, neighbourhood cleanups have been opportunities to gather friends, family and colleagues together to, yes, pick up litter, but even more so to build a sense of community and purpose. In honour of the spirit of these cleanups, the City is launching a new name for the program that reflects the spirit of the events. This year, Keep Vancouver Spectacular will transform, putting the years of memories into the vault to become the Neighbourhood Cleanup Party! Because it’s not just about picking up litter, it’s about helping Vancouver’s neighbourhoods feel cleaner and safer, and having a whole lot of fun at the same time.
