City Council is asking residents to review current rental regulations and look for ways to facilitate short-term rentals that balance the needs of residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
In June 2016, the Vancouver rental market featured more than 5,000 listings on 12 active accommodation websites like Airbnb and VRBO. (Note that short-term rentals – anything less than 30 days per tenancy – are currently legal only in licensed hotels and bed and breakfasts.) This survey provides you with an opportunity to share your thoughts on short-term rentals and the regulations surrounding them. We encourage you to take the survey, as your feedback will help to shape future City policies on this important issue.
