In January 2016, Vancouver will host more than 4,000 delegates for the Professional Convention Management Association's (PCMA) annual Convening Leaders Conference - think of it as the TED of the meetings industry. Needless to say, it's our chance to shine a spotlight on Vancouver as an internationally leading meetings and events destination. And we need your help.
Volunteering at Convening Leaders carries a host of advantages, including a discount on full conference registration; entry into daily prize giveaways; access to the conference's spectacular opening and closing receptions at BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre; and practical perks like transportation and meals. Best of all? Volunteers have a key opportunity to connect with planners, decision-makers and industry thought leaders while attending thought-provoking educational seminars (think: effectively using social media at events, how fitness affects productivity, and more). Bottom line: Convening Leaders will be the largest site inspection in Vancouver's history, and its volunteers will play a crucial role as destination ambassadors.
PCMA represents 6,500 meeting industry leaders across the globe with 17 chapters in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Members include planner and tradeshow professionals, suppliers, faculty, students and emeritus.
