Metro Vancouver’s Sustainability Community Breakfasts is a series of monthly breakfast meetings that focuses on regional sustainability issues. They provide an opportunity to increase awareness and understanding of current topics, to bring together individuals and organizations interested in sustainability, and to build networks and partnerships.

Every day, Metro Vancouver’s pipes carry over 1 billion litres of wastewater from homes, industries and businesses. This critical regional service is often taken for granted! Metro Vancouver municipalities are facing higher costs and environmental impacts as a result of people draining or flushing things that are incompatible with our wastewater system. Crews routinely need to unblock clogs, remove grease build-up, repair equipment, and when necessary they manage sewage spills.

Join Metro Vancouver to hear about regional educational and regulation source control programs, municipal operations, and Metro Vancouver’s latest humorous approach to encourage behaviour changes at home to help keep the regional wastewater system running smoothly. This will be of particular interest to Tourism Facility operators who deal regularly with guests from all over the world.
