This coming September, Vancouver will welcome individuals from all over the world to host the 9th World Environmental Education Congress. This is a biennial conference that rotates around the globe, attracting more than 1000 delegates.

Be a Host program in the Meetings and Conventions department at Tourism Vancouver had the opportunity to work with Dr. David Zandvliet, who successfully secured this conference to showcase the beautiful city of Vancouver.

Dr. David Zandvliet is an Associate Professor at Simon Fraser University in the Faculty of Education. He is also the Director of the Institute for Environmental Learning as well as an Adjunct Research Fellow at Universitas Sam Ratulangi, Indonesia. He has published articles in international journals and presented conference papers on six continents, in over 15 countries. His research areas include science and environmental education as well as learning environments in Austrailia, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Taiwan. We are excited to welcome the World Environmental Education Congress and eager to witness the legacy this conference leaves for the industry. Congratulations Dr. Zandvliet for his efforts in securing this prestigious event.
