The largest and longest running burlesque festival in Canada is back to seduce the city. Heading into its 11th year, the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival (May 6 – 7) will welcome world-class burlesque performers to the Vancouver Playhouse for two showcase nights of glitter and glamour. This year, the festival is divided into two events: the International Cabaret (May 6), featuring performers from around the world; and Vancouver Uncovered (May 7), headlined by the best local burlesque practitioners. Both male and female dancers are appearing, along with a burlesque legend.

For the first time ever, the festival will also include a TED talk-style presentation called TIT Talks. Standing for Teach, Inspire, Transcend, this intimate evening offers unique perspectives, ideas and stories pertaining to the burlesque realm.

Tickets to the VIBF Showcases are now available for sale and can be found at Learn more about the VIBF including shows and featured performers at or find them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
