Vancouver International Airport (YVR) was voted Best Airport in North America for an unprecedented tenth consecutive year at the Skytrax World Airport Awards. Recognized as the global benchmark of airport excellence, the awards were voted on by 13.73 million passengers worldwide. YVR is the first and only airport to receive this top accolade for ten consecutive years.
Another notable achievement includes the Fairmont Vancouver Airport being named the #1 Best Airport Hotel in North America. It’s clear that we have incredible ambassadors championing Vancouver over at YVR as the Airport was also named #2 Best Airport Staff in North America, just below Seattle-Tacoma. Overall, Vancouver International Airport was voted #17 in Skytrax World’s Top 100 Best Airports for 2019.
