Every spring, cherry blossoms drape Vancouver in a canopy of pinks and reds - and this year, you'll find blossoms floating on the water, too. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, a barge decorated with 40 flowering cherry blossom trees will sail around the city (April 16 and 17). The festival runs March 21 to April 17.

Canada's Garden Festival of the Year, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival has grown into Vancouver's signature springtime event and annual celebration of beauty and rejuvenation. The Festival is an important intra-community arts and culture festival that actively engages Metro Vancouver citizens in community, urban nature and cultural heritage, presented in a compelling package of diverse community involvement and environmental sustainability.

Presented by Tymac Launch Service, the new Blossom Barge will float serenely starting from Crab Park, sail past Canada Place, Stanley Park, English Bay, Granville Island and finish at False Creek, by Science World.
