Stanley Park - best known for its evergreen forest, totem poles and 10-kilometre seawall - will be transformed into a 14,000-person outdoor concert venue on August 22 for a one-night-only performance by legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi. Produced by Vancouver's Paper Rain Performances, who are known for executing awe-inspiring events, this urban forest concert will be Jon Bon Jovi's single North American performance of 2015. He is set to perform a mix of his favourite tunes from other artists as well as Bon Jovi classics like "Livin' on a Prayer".
Concertgoers are sure to have an unforgettable experience with amazing views of the Vancouver skyline and Canada Place (word is the sails of Canada Place will be lit to match the Bon Jovi set). The show also comes with first-class dinner options from local caterers Culinary Capers and Cocktails and Canapés. You can either enjoy dinner at your seat or in one of the bistro-style seating areas. Beer from Stanley Park Brewery and Mission Hill wines will be readily available.
Tickets to An Evening with Jon Bon Jovi and the Kings of Suburbia start at $39 (plus taxes and surcharges) for grass seating and run up to $595 for front section VIP seats, top-quality food, valet and shuttle service, a concert memento and access to the VIP Hospitality Pavilion. The show starts at 8.00 pm although doors open at 4.30 pm for a special pre-show talent contest featuring some of Vancouver's best up-and-coming performers.
