JFL Northwest is back for more laughs in 2020 with a lineup sure to crack you up. The festival’s Best of the West, an exciting series highlighting B.C.’s local talent, will also be returning this year.

The event is celebrating its 5th anniversary, presented in association with SiriusXM, and is setting itself up to be the ultimate comedy festival on the West Coast this winter. It will be running from February 13-25, 2020. JFL Northwest will showcase some of today’s biggest comedy stars on stages across Vancouver, treating audiences to premium comedy content throughout the 12-day festival. Speaking of local comedy, Vancouver TheatreSports will be laughing out the old year and welcoming the new with their “2019 Year in Review.” The show will cover popular 2019 topics such as elections, mass demonstrations, climate change, impeachment scandals, and affordable housing and will take place from December 26 to December 31, 2019, at the Improve Centre on Granville Island. While much of 2019 was no laughing matter, VTS will have you howling with laughter at their in-the-moment reinterpretations of the news that made the year what it was.

If your stomach doesn’t hurt from laughing too much, check out Vancouver TheatreSports “2020 Year of Predictions” taking place from January 2 to January 4, 2020. The VTS ensemble will predict the top news stories of the new year with a comedic approach.
