Today, Cathy Pacific unveiled a new passenger lounge in the International Terminal at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The luxury space takes inspiration from the airline’s upscale design, mirroring Cathay Pacific lounges that have already opened in Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei and Haneda. The 510-square-metre lounge features natural materials like cherry wood and stone complemented by lush greenery and local artwork, and aims to help travellers relax and rejuvenate pre-flight. Complimentary WiFi is offered throughout, as are three workstations with iMacs and printers. The lounge’s Noodle Bar restaurant dishes up Asian dishes while The Pantry features Western staples like cold cuts and cheese, salads, tapas and dessert. Cathay Pacific currently operates two non-stop daily flights between Vancouver and Hong Kong as well as non-stop daily service from Vancouver to New York’s JFK airport.
