‘Tis the season! Vancouver's authentic European Christmas market will once again be lighting up Jack Poole Plaza from November 22nd until December 24th, 2017, bringing together one-of-a-kind food, gifts and fun for a complete Christmas experience, against a backdrop of Stanley Park, ocean, and sky.
With over 75 artisan huts, this year's market has something for everyone. Unique handmade creations on offer include wooden toys, holiday ornaments, knitted goods and more. Traditional wooden huts, Herrnhut stars, and thousands of twinkling lights add to the holiday spirit.
Guests should come hungry, as the 2017 market features over 20 food vendors, selling delicious eats like German sausages, Hungarian chimney cakes, mulled wine, and pretzels.
Performances from acts like the UK's Andrew Mockler, the Dickensian acapella troupe, The Christmas Revelers, and even Christmas carolers add to the yuletide experience. Parents are encouraged to bring the entire family to enjoy special activities like the Christmas carousel, a market-wide scavenger hunt, and Santa meet-and-greets. The newest addition to the Market is Canada's first Walk-In Christmas tree, which stands tall at 30 ft and is covered with 36,000 twinkling lights.
