The 12th annual Queer Arts Festival: Vancouver’s artist-run, professional, multi-disciplinary roister of queer arts, culture & history returns July 16 - 26, 2020. We’ve re-imagined the festival to provide you your Queer Art fix from a (digital) distance. Please visit our website www.queerartsfestival.com to find out how you can experience all our amazing events!

The Queer Arts Festival (QAF) celebrates the unique creative expressions of visual and performing artists who identify as part of the queer communities. QAF features a curated visual arts show, a community art show, and 3 dynamic weeks of cutting-edge performances and workshops from all artistic disciplines, including music, dance, theatre, literary and media arts.

SUM gallery is Canada’s only queer mandated visual art gallery and one of only a few worldwide. SUM produces, presents and exhibits with a curatorial vision favouring challenging, thought-provoking multidisciplinary work that pushes boundaries and initiates dialogue. SUM brings diverse communities together to support artistic risk-taking, incite creative collaboration and experimentation and celebrate the rich heritage of queer artists and art.
