Anchored by Vancouver's Capilano Suspension Bridge, the Capilano Group of Companies includes Moraine Lake Lodge and Cathedral Mountain Lodge in the Canadian Rockies, gift shops and restaurants in BC and Alberta and a future hotel development in Tofino.

Owner and President Nancy Stibbard's vision is to create experiences that people are amazed by. Since Nancy purchased Capilano Suspension Bridge in 1983, its growth has been phenomenal. Building on Capilano Suspension Bridge's success, Nancy purchased Moraine Lake Lodge in 1991, inviting celebrated Canadian architect, Arthur Erickson, to create a new timber and glass retreat on the shores of Moraine Lake in Banff National park. In 2002 Nancy purchased Cathedral Mountain Lodge, building new log cabins and, in 2006, opening a beautiful new lodge on the edge of the Kicking Horse River. Both boutique hotels are an oasis of comfort and luxury in the heart of the Rockies.

2004 was the year that Treetops Adventure opened. Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses 230 feet above Capilano River to a 300 year-old West Coast rainforest and the unique perspective of Treetops Adventure. Guests walk from one magnificent Douglas fir tree to another on a series of elevated suspension bridges, some reaching 100 feet above the forest floor. This intimate experience with nature is one that guests of any age can enjoy.

Nancy Stibbard and the Capilano Group of Companies are often recognized for their success and contributions to the tourism/hospitality industry. Among the most noteworthy are Ernst and Young's 1996 Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Pacific Canada) and National Tourism Excellence Awards as Business of the Year in 2003 and Innovator of the Year for Treetops Adventure in 2004.
