Jazz Vesper on July 2 @ 4PM  presents Candus Churchill and Tom Pickett, will deliver an amazing concert of Jazz, Gospel and R&B. Candus takes justifiable pride in the part she has played in the development of Vancouver’s current vibrant black gospel music scene. When she arrived The Universal Gospel Choir was the sole group performing the music of her roots. Candus and fellow black American artists Marcus Mosely, Sibel Thrasher, and Lovie Eli came together as Circle of Voices which, under Candus’s direction, evolved to Gospel Experience, a seminal force in Vancouver gospel music for the past twenty years. You do not want to miss this concert!

St. Andrew's Wesley has been home to gospel music for the Vancouver International Jazz Festival for 6 years and offers jazz and gospel music year round. Jazz Vespers, served straight up every Sunday from 4-5 PM, is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! Jazz Vespers features up and coming new talent, plus international jazz giants like Candus Churchill and Tom Pickett who are Jazz Vespers regulars. So, come and experience some gospel soul in a magnificent 14th century cathedral like setting. St. Andrew's Wesley, built in 1933, is a top tourist attraction and heritage site with 26 amazing stained glass windows, plus 7 etched glass windows. And it's a great community church with a message of compassion and kindness. Bring a friend, bring your lunch and come to rock, clap, dance, and feel the spirit. You picked a great day to visit Vancouver!
