A bold, new multimedia theatre piece

Wilderness is an innovative new multimedia theatre piece that explores our collective search for connection and hope, as families grapple with the extraordinary pressures and complexities that accompany ‘coming of age’ in the 21st Century. Anchored by six real families’ stories — narratives that delve into issues of mental health, addiction, gender and sexual identity. In Wilderness, adolescents stand at the brink of emotional chaos, lost in social stigma, insecurity, aggression, and anger. One question emerges: How do we persevere when we feel most alone in the world?

"I'm very much looking forward to returning to Studio 58 with the documentary theatre piece Wilderness. It is a beautiful exploration of our desire for connection and our continued search for meaning in the face of isolation, fear, addiction and insecurity." – Genevieve Fleming

“A fierce, sad gale blows through WILDERNESS, a terrific, moving…theater piece about troubled youth…”—The New York Times.
