'The ‘week’ bursts through its seams, as a festival with happenings now running from June 10 through June 24, and an intense week of events beginning June 30 leading up to the final fabulous Carnaval del Sol weekend celebration July 8 and 9.
The festive weeks in July will be a wonderful, exciting, and inspirational opportunity to showcase and appreciate the vibrant Latin American spirit, through music, dance, film, sports, and so much more, ending the schedule with a fabulous Carnaval del Sol.
A brand new event this year will be Music on Wheels June 10 - June 24 which celebrates Latin and Latin-inspired youth bands (18-25) with pop-up venues in and around Vancouver…the festival nurtures them as the future of the Carnaval’s mainstage musical performances. Watch for performance bookings at www.carnavaldelsol.ca.

The night will include:
- Latin Legends Storytellers Five to ten Latinos will tell their personal stories since they first came to Canada. Other Invited speakers will tell the actual legends from both Canada and Latin America, showing their similarities.
- Photo Exhibition Latin American photographers will display their vision on what means to be a Latino in Canada. The results will be first seen at this event, and later showcased in the International Art Plaza during Carnaval del Sol.
