By the early 20th century, many artists were familiar with the Impressionist movement. The goal was to capture the moment accurately with loose brushstrokes and atmospheric light. Interest in this style of painting led to the creation of more dynamic and bright artworks that stepped away from the rules of Academic art. Impressionism gave new life to landscape paintings as well as scenes of bustling cities. This month’s Impressionist exhibition presents art pieces by John Hammond, Emile Schuffenecker, Franklin Milton Armington and John Wentworth Russell.
Showing alongside this exhibition is a rotating selection of museum-quality paintings, objets d’art, and antiques from Europe and North America.
