Due in part to its rich history, Italy has been a thriving tourist destination for centuries. During the eighteenth and nineteenth-centuries, Italy continued to have one of the highest reputations in the fine arts, attracting artists and tourists from around the world to discover and be inspired by the country’s transcendental landscapes and bustling cities. The artists in this exhibition show dynamic views of Italy, each with their own captivating vision. Included in this exhibition are works by Auguste Bouvard, Alfred Pollentine, John Hammond and Edward Alfred Goodall. Showing alongside this exhibition is a selection of fine antiques and objet d’art.
