Tourism Vancouver and our hospitality community is proud to work with IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional association, to bring the group’s various prestigious meetings to Vancouver. By partnering with the Be a Host program, IEEE Vancouver Section members have brought more than 60 meetings to Vancouver, including the 2013 IEEE Power & Energy Society meeting which attracted 3,000 delegates to the city.

The benefits of being a local host are both professional and personal. As the top ranked city in North America for international meetings, Vancouver is a strong draw for visiting delegates, giving you an outstanding opportunity to earn recognition for local tech sector innovations and research among your international peers. By becoming a local host, you’ll raise your professional profile among your industry colleagues, and join an elite group of like-minded leaders who have also brought their meetings to the city.

The Be a Host program is free of charge, and our team is keen to work with local IEEE section members looking to bring their meetings to Vancouver. We can assist with everything from preparing your initial bid, through to matching you with local hotels, venues and suppliers that best fit your meeting. To learn more, contact the Be a Host team
