What to Wear during the Games

As our winters are mild and wet (and occasionally dip to freezing), it’s best to pack clothes that can be easily layered. To stay cozy and dry, it’s a good idea to bring some warm clothes such as sweaters, long-sleeve shirts, and a waterproof or rain-repellent windbreaker style jacket or coat. We also suggest bringing an umbrella, along with rain boots or footwear that will keep your feet warm and dry.*

As Vancouver is a casual town, clothes that are “smart-casual” would be appropriate for most occasions and situations.

*Don’t worry if you forget to bring your umbrella. You can always get one here – there’s even a vending machine with umbrellas at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
