Vancouver is wild about golf. The golfing season lasts at least eight months of the year in Greater Vancouver, the longest season in Canada. Tee off from a multitude of courses located within the city or within a one-hour drive from downtown. Spend a day on the links, finish off with drinks or dinner - a perfect way to spend a day! Guided Walk through the Rainforests Only 30 minutes from Vancouver, you find yourself entering a magical world of giant Douglas firs wrapped in blankets of soft green moss. A short SeaBus ride across Burrard Inlet will bring you back downtown. Ocean Kayaking Get back to nature. Swim with the sea lions. Well, Vancouver has some of the finest gardens on the West Coast. The UBC Botanical Gardens and the Nitobe Memorial Japanese Gardens, VanDusen Botanical Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Parks garden under glass, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, and Stanley Park are only an assortment of the beautiful gardens and parks in Vancouver.
River Rafting Attention thrill seekers: take the ride of a lifetime! The white rapids of the Chilliwack, the Elaho-Squamish, and the Thompson rivers are calling your name. Experience the adrenaline rush of white water rafting in British Columbia under the supervision of trained guides. All trips include a stop at a scenic location for a hearty lunch. Salmon Fishing You don't have to be an expert fisherman to enjoy one of the most popular activities in BC. Head out to the open water and experience a West Coast adventure. Take in the spectacular scenery and reel in your catch of the day on a fully equipped fishing vessel. Board your vessel from a number of marinas conveniently located downtown and throughout the city. Vancouver City & Granville Island Tour Tour more of Vancouver's famous sites including Stanley Park, Chinatown, Gastown, Shaughnessy, English Bay, and Queen Elizabeth Park. Stop at Granville Island and marvel at the selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, pastries, breads and gourmet fare at the Public Market. Shop for unique souvenirs like handmade paper or glass beads. Visit one of the many artisans that rent studio space on the island. Grab a snack from inside the market and sit on the dock, feed the seagulls or watch any number of street performers--from musicians to magicians.
