» Langley City & Township

It's a good bet that in parts of Langley, British Columbia's birthplace, horses might just outnumber people. Canada's self proclaimed horse capital is also home to an aviation museum, winery, and lots of history. From Vancouver, it's less than an hour's drive east along Highway 1 or by Highway 7 with a short trip across the Fraser River on the Albion ferry from Maple Ridge. A great place to rent your Recreation Vehicle and start your exploration of Super, Natural British Columbia.

Discover the river-front charm of Fort Langley, named for the nearby Hudson's Bay Trading Fort. There's lots to browse through along Fort Langley's tree lined streets, whether you're looking for the perfect antique or an original work of art. In Langley City, the revitalised business district and pedestrian oriented streets make shopping a pleasure. During the summer it hosts an old fashioned farmer's market. For that bite to eat Langley's restaurants offer lots of choice.

The community's proud history is evident in the historic buildings of Fort Langley and in the restored buildings throughout the area. In the largely rural south, a number of historic pioneer farm houses remain including a former hotel and general store.

The Campbell Valley Regional Park is home to a restored school house and farmstead. The park is also one of several that offer horse riding trails within their boundaries along with walking trails and the opportunity to explore rivers and creeks.
