Day 1 - Sea to Sky Adventures on the City's Doorsteps

  • Start the day with pickup at the hotel and a transfer to Sewell's Marina in scenic Horseshoe Bay. Stop along the way at the lookout at Cypress Mountain Provincial Park for a splendid view of the city.
  • Meet the host at Sewell's Marina and embark on a thrilling Sea Safari where visitors can explore the marine wildlife of Howe Sound and Bowen Island.
  • Arrive at Bowen Island and take a fascinating guided walk through the temperate rainforests of this jewel of an island. The expert guide teaches visitors all about the geology and unique flora and fauna of the region.
  • Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch outside followed by a seminar on the ethnobotany of the Pacific Northwest.
  • Optional: Floatplane transfer back to the city.
  • Transfer back to the hotel and rest before heading out for a seafood feast on the waterfront at the award-winning C Restaurant.

Day 2 - A Geological Excursion on the Glaciers and Volcanoes Surrounding Vancouver

  • Begin the journey in a luxurious 4x4 Suburban. A private guide takes visitors along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway heading toward a private viewpoint overlooking the Tantalus Glacier. Stop to learn how the surrounding volcanoes and glaciers were formed, while also enjoying the majestic views as visitors walk this alpine forest.
  • Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch on Brohm Ridge viewpoint overlooking Howe Sound and the Squamish Valley.
  • After lunch, a helicopter takes visitors above the mountaintops for an aerial tour of the surrounding volcanoes, lakes and glaciers.
  • Transfer back to the hotel and rest before dinner at Watermark on Kits Beach. Take in the stunning views while enjoying a meal made with organic ingredients from British Columbia.

Suggested Excursions:

  • Take a day trip to Whistler with a stop at the new All Terrain Adventures Center at Britannia Beach. Hummer tour and adventure hike in Whistler's backcountry.
  • River-rafting excursion in Squamish or Whistler.
  • Whale-watching excursion from Richmond, with lecture on marine mammals and wildlife by expert guides on board.
