Itinerary Overview

A tour for art and garden lovers to obtain an overview of the rich local art scene and visit several private and public gardens.

Day 1 - Downtown Galleries: Discovery and North Shore Private Garden Tours

  • Start the day with a downtown walking tour of galleries and private studios to discover a diverse collectionof art including Inuit, coastal and contemporary First Nations pieces. Include stops at thefollowing galleries: Marion Scott Gallery, Rendez-Vous Art Gallery, Appleton Galleries and theVancouver Art Gallery.
  • Enjoy lunch at a nearby bistro.
  • Transfer to scenic North Vancouver with a stop at the world-famous Stanley Park for a guided walking tour of two magnificent private gardens. Meet the owners of the private gardens and enjoy their labour of love. Then, if time allows, visit the popular Park & Tilford Gardens in North Vancouver.
  • Optional: Afternoon Tea at the popular Capilano Suspension Bridge or at the Fish House Restaurant in Stanley Park.
  • Return to the hotel to rest before dinner.
  • Schedule a late dinner in Stanley Park at Sequoia Grill, a popular West Coast restaurant located on scenic Ferguson Point.

Day 2 - Discover Vancouver's Public Gardens

  • The second day begins in historic Chinatown at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Tour the unique garden and enjoy Tea Tasting in the serene surroundings.
  • Next, a scenic transfer to the grounds of the University of British Columbia to visit the UBC Botanical Garden or a Japanese garden. Stop along the way to visit beautiful Spanish Banks Beach to enjoy the stunning city and Coastal mountain views. Optional visit: While onsite, some visitors may enjoy touring the popular UBC Museum of Anthropology.
  • Then it's off to the VanDusen Botanical Garden. Stroll through this amazing garden, offering a wide diversity of flowers and trees year-round.
  • Have lunch at the charming Shaughnessy Restaurant in the park.
  • The last stop today is Queen Elizabeth Park. Visit the Bloedel Floral Conservatory and enjoy the amazing indoor display of exotic plants and flowers as well as unique birds and butterflies. Walk through the park to discover the sunken gardens and cherry blossom trees (seasonal).
  • End the day with dinner at Watermark on Kits Beach. Take in the stunning views while enjoying a meal made with organic ingredients from British Columbia.
