Day 1 - A Journey Through East Vancouver's Art Scene

  • The tour begins in Vancouver's historic Chinatown with a visit to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden to experience a Chinese brush-painting course in the gardens.
  • Then, it's off to Parker Street in the East End for a visit to the unique artist studios to discover many talented and internationally renowned artists of all trades.
  • Explore the artist studios along Keefer and East Pender Streets. This part of town is relatively unknown and yet it's home to one of the liveliest artist communities in the city.
  • Take a walk and stop for a coffee along Commercial Drive, better known as "the Drive", for a slice of bohemian West Coast action.
  • Have lunch on the waterfront at the Cannery Seafood Restaurant.
  • Enjoy a leisurely afternoon and explore historic Gastown for a look at First Nations galleries and souvenir shopping.
  • Enjoy an interactive and educational dinner at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts.

Day 2 - Discover the Art Scene of Granville Island and South Granville Street

  • This day begins on the water aboard the Aquabus Ferries or False Creek Ferries to Granville Island, where artists and residents of Vancouver mingle. Get a real taste of the lifestyle and local art ranging from glass-blowing, ceramics, painting, silk weaving and jewelry making.
  • For a seafood feast, have a West Coast lunch at Bridges Restaurant, Bistro & Pub.
  • Stroll along South Granville Street. Check out the many antique shops and galleries.
  • Have a gourmet dinner at one of Vancouver's top restaurants - West Restaurant & Bar. Meet the chef and sommelier while enjoying the best of West Coast cuisine.
  • Optional: Enjoy a performance at the nearby Stanley Theatre.
