Itinerary Overview

Enjoy a fusion of cultures and flavours, seasoned with the culinary touch of the city's best chefs, foodemporiums and restaurants.

Day 1 - Vancouver's Markets and Secret Shopping Tour

  • The day begins with the exotic aromas and flavours of historic Chinatown. Start a walking tour of thisauthentic neighbourhood with a visit to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden to participate in tea tasting. Then, proceed to Pender and Carrall Streets to visit several Chinese medicine shopsand learn herbal medicinal secrets and myths. Sample some of the best ancient teas in a Chinese tea salon.
  • For lunch, sample the dim sum at Floata Seafood Restaurant, the largest Chinese restaurant in Canada.
  • After lunch, enjoy a real treat at La Casa Gelato where there are hundreds of delicious sorbets and ice cream flavours.
  • Next, head to South Granville for shopping in the trendy cooking accessory stores.
  • Dinner consists of a deluxe transfer and dine around at Vancouver's top table restaurants to samplerecipes from the city's best chefs.

Day 2 - Hands-on Cooking, Tasting and Sampling

  • Begin the day with an early morning visit to the largest flower market on the Pacific Coast. See local merchants bargaining for their fresh and edible flowers available year-round.
  • Enjoy breakfast and coffee in Yaletown at a trendy market. Follow breakfast with avisit to the best food and wine bookstore in the city.
  • Then, proceed to a local favourite, the Granville Island Public Market where visitors can meet local farmersand merchants.
  • Have lunch and enjoy a cooking demonstration at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Participants willmeet chefs-in-training.
  • Dinner in Stanley Park at the Fish House Restaurant and meet celebrity chef Karen Barnaby.
  • The evening concludes downtown with dancing at The Roxy, one of the city's most electric nightclubs.

Suggested Excursions:

  • Wine touring in the Fraser Valley and township of Langley.
  • Visit and tour local farms including lavender and Echinacea farms.
