BURNABY ART GALLERY

The Burnaby Art Gallery presents Frozen Light: Photographic Works from the Collection of the Burnaby Art Gallery. Liz Magor’s photographic series Military through the Ages will be presented, as well as works by Marian Penner Bancroft, Stan Douglas, Terry Ewasiuk, Karen Henderson, Nobuo Kubota, Chick Rice, Barbara Steinman and Ken Straiton. This exhibit will be presented in their lower gallery from May 23 to June 22.

UBC MUSEUM OF ANTHROPOLOGY

With a spectacular view of Howe Sound, the UBC Museum of Anthropology houses one of the world’s finest displays of Northwest Coast First Nations Art. Your clients can enjoy two exceptional exhibitions - Without Masks: Contemporary Afro-Cuban Art (May 2 to November 2) and Claiming Space: Voices of Urban Aboriginal Youth (June 1 to January 4, 2015), as well as free gallery tours led by the museum’s volunteer associates.

YALETOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION

The Yaletown Business Improvement Association has partnered with Vancouver Farmers Markets and VIVA Vancouver to present a weekly farmers market this Spring/Summer. Market booths will feature fresh produce direct from the growers, artisan foods and baking, as well as a limited selection of non-food merchandise. The market will be located at Mainland Street and Bill Curtis Square (at the Canada Line Station), taking place every Thursday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, May 1 to October 2.
