Burnaby Village Museum & Carousel

Visitors at this unique attraction can transport themselves to the 1920s as they stroll down the streets of the village that has a combination of heritage and replica buildings on a 10-acre site. The Burnaby Village Museum & Carousel now offers a 45-minute Guided Village Tours for visitors to get the stories behind the history. Touch-screen carousel kiosks are also added in the carousel pavilion allowing visitors to do their own “research” on individual horses as well as the history of the CW Parker carousel itself. The development of this new interactive stop coincides with the carousel’s 100th anniversary in 2012.

Fort Langley National Historic Site

"The People of Canada’s Fur Trade ESL Program" is a specially crafted two-hour program for travellers with limited English. Visitors will spend 90 minutes with a dedicated, specially-trained guide who will use props and word cards to immerse them in British Columbia's past. Experience hands-on activities such as barrel-making, blacksmithing, panning for gold and trading for furs, then enjoy free time to explore the rustic homes representing Fort Langley’s cross-cultural families in the mid-1800s. Visitors can also shop for First Nations art at ŠxwimelÉ™ Boutique and Gifts and reserve a Fur Trader’s Lunch at the Full Barrel Café.

Hastings Racecourse & Casino

As Vancouver’s most unique destination with live thoroughbred horseracing from April until October, Hastings Racecourse offers year-round excitement in the casino with over 600 slots and the “New to Wagering Program” to make horseracing easier to understand and more accessible to a new or novice player. Vancouver Christmas Market Inc.

The Butchart Gardens

This December marks the 25th year of the Magic of Christmas at The Butchart Gardens. An expanded Ice Rink allows for more skaters to take to the ice each hour. Skating Under the Stars has become another Christmas tradition at The Gardens from December 1 to January 6, 2012.
