Des saveurs internationales... Les restaurants des quartiers et des hôtels de Vancouver continuent d'étonner avec leur créativité et leur excellence pour lesquelles ils sont de plus en plus renommés. Vancouver est vite devenue une destination culinaire de notoriété mondiale, grâce à une scène culinaire qui reflète bien son milieu et sa géographie. Peu importe les goûts - que ce soit la cuisine-fusion ou ethnique de la côte ouest, ou des restaurants ou vins primés de la C.-B. - les visiteurs peuvent trouver ici une cuisine tout à fait authentique, délicieuse et à prix abordables.

Vancouver sait satisfaire les goûts culinaires de ses visiteurs et se classe facilement parmi les villes où l'on compte le plus grand nombre de restaurants par habitant en Amérique du Nord. On y offre une cuisine internationale dont l'inspiration provient de tous les coins du globe, et une gamme stupéfiante de produits culinaires novateurs, dans des restaurants gastronomiques ou décontractés ou des bars à tapas funky, des menus ingénieux et des mets culturellement infusés servis avec une saveur vraiment ouest-côtière.

Boissons et cocktails

Des vins extraordinaires sont un autre luxe fort populaire dont raffolent les Vancouverois. Aiguisez, intriguez et éveillez vos sens en sirotant les délicieux vins de la Colombie-Britannique que l'on trouve dans la plupart des restaurants et boutiques de vins de Vancouver.

La vallée du Fraser, à l'extérieur de Vancouver, et la vallée de l'Okanagan, à quatre heures à l'est de la ville, sont deux régions où de nombreux établissements vinicoles offrent dégustations et visites à l'année.

Vie nocturne

À Vancouver, la vie nocturne est un heureux mélange de bars-salons branchés, de pubs décontractés et de boîtes à la mode où l'on peut écouter des artistes et tout genre de musique, comme de la musique classique, de jazz, du blues et du rock. On a l'embarras du choix dans les divers quartiers de Vancouver, que ce soit dans le West End, Gastown, Yaletown et la rue Granville. Il ne faut pas oublier aussi toutes les boîtes de nuit où l'on peut danser et continuer à s'amuser jusqu'aux petites heures du matin. Celles et ceux qui se sentent chanceux voudront sans doute faire le tour des casinos de Vancouver pour y vivre une expérience sensorielle complète.
