Visitors to the Aquarium will learn that after thriving for over 360 million years, 2,000 to 3,000 of the world's 6,000 known amphibian species could go extinct in our lifetime - resulting in the single largest mass extinction since the disappearance of dinosaurs.

Tourism Vancouver's First Satellite Visitor Centre is Open for Business

Tourism Vancouver's new "satellite visitor centre" is now open for business. Located at the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza on Robson Street, the temporary visitor centre is the first of between 10 and 12 planned for Vancouver in the lead up to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The satellite visitor centre project is part of a broad visitor servicing strategy developed in conjunction with the City of Vancouver, Tourism British Columbia, Tourism Whistler, Tourism Richmond and the District of West Vancouver, with endorsement from the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC). The satellite visitor centres will provide city and provincial travel information, and have full ticketing capabilities to sell all Tourism Vancouver member products available at our main Tourist Infocentre ( 200 Burrard St) and through Ticket's Tonight.
