  1. The new West Building at the Vancouver Convention Centre was built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification standards and features a "living roof" as well as seawater heating and cooling, making it one of the greenest buildings in Vancouver.
  2. The iconic roof at BC Place is an air-supported dome that will soon be replaced by a retractable roof. The stadium seats 60,000 people and will be home to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and Opening Ceremonies for the Paralympic Winter Games.
