It was a fun and rewarding week at Association Forum of Chicagoland's Forum Forward. In conjunction with Clean the World, Tourism Vancouver and partners packed 1,500 Hygiene Kits for ChildServ, a Chicago-based teen homeless shelter. The Vancouver CSR area was a major component of the conference held over one and half days, located in the main General Session and Learning Lab area. As attendees experienced every aspect of the meeting they were encouraged to participate by packing Hygiene kits. The kit contained eight hyigene items and an encouraging note handwritten by the attendees.

Tourism Vancouver staff, Rachael Riggs-Nocera and Clean the World Staff , Tammi Runzler, spoke at the Learning Lab located next to the workstation about the value of CSR components within a meeting and how to host this type of give back at a meeting or convention.

As an additional incentive to participate, Vancouver hosted dessert for the attendees after lunch. If an attendee packed a kit then they would receive a Crave Bar, a Chicago-based ice cream treat. A donation to ChildServ was made for every crave bar served. So people could give back by packing kits and eating ice cream.

Additionally, while the Vancouver team was in town, they took the Crave Ice Cream truck to local client offices and a PCMA event.
