Once upon a time at PCMA’s Convening Leaders, two industry professionals – Belinda Keota and Matt Harvey – remained behind after the conference ended and spent a romantic day exploring Vancouver. They soared over the country on the virtual reality ride FlyOver Canada. They toured the Aquarium, playing with sea otters, taking in a beluga show and snuggling up next to the cuttlefishes. Of course, they indulged in Vancouver’s globally lauded culinary scene, sampling delectable sushi, enjoying the city’s local West Coast bounty, and sipping handcrafted cocktails.

At the end of the glorious evening, this Prince and Princess of PCMA rode a SeaBus ferry to North Vancouver and trekked around Grouse Mountain: ascending the Skyride, watching Zipliners soar overhead, and sharing a bottle of wine at the summit while taking in the stunning city sprawled 3,700 feet below. And there, at the top of the mountain, surrounded by sparkling snow and lush evergreens, Matt knelt in the soft snow and asked Belinda to marry him… and she said yes.

On this cool yet sunny January day in Vancouver, the happy couple not only learned all about the future of the meetings industry – they also entwined their own. Congratulations to Belinda and Matt, and don’t forget – Vancouver is a leading wedding destination, too!
