Travellers flying from Down Under to the West Coast can now hop aboard a daily flight from Brisbane to Vancouver. Starting June 12, Air Canada will provide non-stop flights between the two cities daily. The demand for more flights underscores Vancouver's position as a preferred gateway hub for trans-Pacific travel to and from North America. All flights are timed to optimize connectivity across Air Canada's North American network through Vancouver International Airport. When the service launched in June 2015, Vancouver was the first city in Canada to offer direct service to Brisbane, a major business hub and gateway to Australia's tourism business. YVR also offers direct flights to Sydney.
