DESTINATION ENTERTAINMENT. A visit to Vancouver is not complete without attending one of the many performances hosted by Vancouver Civic Theatres. Our world-class venues and performance spaces are home to a variety of major arts and entertainment productions, including concerts, theatre, opera, classical music, Broadway shows, films and lectures. We also host a number of community events that are free to the public including a downtown farmer's market, movie screening on our Plaza and so much more.

All four theatres are located in Vancouver’s walkable downtown core close to the city’s top hotels, restaurants and transit. Theatres spaces include The Orpheum, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, The Annex and the Vancouver Playhouse

Venues include:

The Orpheum - 2,688 -seat heritage theatre. The Orpheum is one of the most beautiful concert halls in North America, hosting Canadian and international musicians, lecture series, and unique events. The Orpheum is a designated National Heritage Site built in 1927 and refurbished in 2009.

The Queen Elizabeth Theatre - 2,765 seat auditorium. One of Canada’s largest proscenium theatres.Refurbished in 2009, the theatre hosts opera, Broadway, music, presentations, and a broad spectrum of entertainment shows.

Queen Elizabeth Theatre Salons - The salons are versatile and available for use individually or combined to create a larger space. Hosting meetings and receptions for 20 to 220 people, Salon rental includes access to available equipment and a rental coordinator.

ANNEX - Located next to The Orpheum on Seymour Street, The Annex is a great place for cabarets, dance and music performances, receptions and rehearsals. The Annex can be quickly converted from a flat-floor to a standard theatre space with 193 seats and is fully equipped with theatrical sound and lights.

The Vancouver Playhouse - 668 seats. An intimate performance venue, the Playhouse is the only proscenium theatre of its size in Vancouver. It is city’s prime venue for dance, chamber music, film events, and theatre.
