2011 Vancouver Christmas Market Opens November 24th
Get in the spirit of a traditional German Christmas November 24th to December 24th
Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza
Back for its second year, the highly successful Vancouver Christmas Market runs November 24th to December 24th outdoors at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza. Celebrating the rich and unique German culture with all who enter through the gates, the Vancouver Christmas Market is a showcase of traditional German crafts, delicious food, and entertainment for all ages.
One of the most enchanting atmospheres in Vancouver during the holiday season, the Vancouver Christmas Market features more than 45 traditional wooden booths containing traditional German products, and rows of Christmas trees strung with thousands of twinkling lights and a new children’s Christmas Carousel. With the addition of 20 new vendors and five of them selling traditional German Christmas decorations, you’ll find something for everyone on your holiday list.
Smell the authentic aromas of Gluehwein (mulled wine) and pine trees perfuming the air. Taste specialty foods including German Bratwurst, Swiss Raclette, Brataepfel (stuffed baked apples), Schupfnudeln (German noodles), Bavarian Leberkaes (meatloaf), and much more.
The 2011 Vancouver Christmas Market is the perfect destination to celebrate the holiday season, whether it’s an evening out with friends and family or a festive lunch with co-workers – the warm and magical setting offers something for everyone.
