GARDEN PAVILION Max. Capacities: 30 dining, 50 reception Approx. Rental Cost: $300+GST for meetings or weddings/banquets Things to Note: Two rental times per day: 8:30am-4:30pm or 6:30pm-midnight, some restrictions on decorating. Catering exclusive to UBC Catering Services. Individual small square Japanese style building set in the centre of the Botanical Garden. West Coast style interior with cedar walls and windows on all four sides overlooking garden. Lawn areas nearby may be used, rental fee depending on number of guests. Flip charts provided. Ideal for small informal “retreat” type meetings. Also used as a base for large outdoor weddings. Free parking off Marine Drive with fiveminute walk through Garden to Garden Pavilion. Access off 16th Avenue for delivery of larger items.
RECEPTION CENTRE Max. Capacities: 90 dining, 120 reception Things to Note: Same restrictions as with UBC Garden Pavilion One room, 50x25 ft., hardwood floors, good lighting, pale blue walls, white California shutters on windows looking out to 50x12 ft deck (with awning on electrical pulleys). Located in Botanical Garden. Rental fee also includes use of “pagoda” structure with view of Georgia Strait, use of deck and free entrance to Botanical Garden for guests, overhead projector and screen, PA system and flip charts. Free parking nearby.
