New Works Presents

All Over the Map Outdoor Dance and Music Series

What better place to enjoy dance and music than outdoors on summer weekends on busy Granville Island?

This free outdoor series showcases dance from diverse cultural traditions. Six different performances take place on Sunday afternoons in July and August. The audience is invited to sit under the shade of the trees at Performance Works and enjoy an exhilarating one hour performance.

Dance Allsorts Performance Series

Once a month from September to May, people of all ages come to the Roundhouse Community Centre and enjoy an intimate and memorable performance. From tap dance to dances from all over the world, Dance Allsorts fans know they'll enjoy a great show, no matter what's on.

Be sure to check out our Dance Allsorts workshops! These classes are a great way to try out a different type of dance each month. No dance experience necessary.

Next Stage

Vancouver's emerging dancers kick it into high gear at our Next Stage program. The Next Stage takes professional dancers we have presented at either of our two series and presents them on the main stage for up to two weeks. We work with the dancers one on one to help them develop a new piece of work and to support their artistic vision. The result is innovative and stunning.

Mentorship and Management Support for Diverse Dance Artists

Emerging dance artists and companies often need help with the business of being an artist or company. New Works offers a range of mentorship and management services that have helped some of Vancouver's most innovative dance artists flourish.
