Britannia Mine Museum – A National Historic Site

When visitors enter the Britannia Mine Museum, they will be swept away by the array of activities and exhibits created for adults and children alike. It was once the largest copper mine in the British Empire. Today, the Britannia Mine Museum opens up a little-seen world that fascinates all ages. Just like miners did, visitors climb aboard a mine train and rumble into a dark portal to 100 years ago. Outside, clever exhibits, films and artifacts uncover the stories of a once bustling community. The Museum is a Signature Experience with the Canadian Tourism Commission.

Located in the Visitor Centre, the Company Store is open year round and offers a carefully selected collection of quality gifts & souvenirs.
