The Bill Reid Gallery is the only public Gallery in Canada dedicated to contemporary Indigenous Northwest Coast Art and was established by the Bill Reid Foundation in 2008, to celebrate the Haida master artist Bill Reid (1920 - 1998), and the diverse living cultures of the Northwest Coast.

The Gallery honours Bill Reid by exhibiting the Bill Reid SFU Art Collection, and presenting special exhibitions and programs that build bridges between all peoples, including Indigenous and settler populations. Our mandate is to promote a greater awareness of Indigenous cultures and values.

The Gallery is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and can be found within a short walking distance from the Canada Line’s City Centre Station located in Pacific Centre or the Millenium/Expo Line’s Burrard Station.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver, this public gallery is named after the acclaimed Haida artist Bill Reid (1920 - 1998). The gallery exhibits the Simon Fraser University Bill Reid Collection and special exhibitions of contemporary Indigenous Art of the Northwest Coast. 

The gallery shop is the source for Northwest Coast gifts which includes curated works of original art, finely crafted jewelry, and uniquely designed accessories and giftware. Inspired by the Gallery's exhibitions, featured pieces are authentic and indigenous. All purchases support contemporary Northwest Coast artists. Located just steps from the many downtown hotels and Canada Line SkyTrain.

Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art presents the Canadian premiere of XIÁM from February 7 - May 19, 2024.
