Located in the heart of the University of British Columbia (UBC) campus, the Alma Mater Society (AMS) of UBC is thrilled to have just opened one of the world’s most sustainable buildings in June 2015, the AMS Nest.
The Nest boasts over 250,000 square feet of LEED Platinum Certified meeting and event space. It is home to nine AMS owned and operated food outlets, two of which offer full venue buyouts. With access to over 40 state-of-the-art architecturally designed bookable spaces ranging from 100 - 11,000 square feet, the Nest is a primary venue for event organizers. In addition, our on-site three-story rock climbing wall offers attendees a mid-meeting adrenaline alternative to a coffee break.
The facility provides a range of conference and catering services at various price points, including the ability to accommodate a 600-person seated gala dinner in our Great Hall. Full service off-site catering is also our expertise, where we offer a 100% Ocean Wise certified menu.
Our stunning location combined with over 15 years’ experience, full-service event planning and an award-winning culinary team makes the Nest, the ideal space to hold individualized functions no matter how large or small.
The Nest serves as a leading full-service catered location to UBC students and external conferences.
