CelticFest Vancouver - March 8 - 16
Vancouver’s CelticFest stretches traditional St. Patrick’s Day festivities into a multi-day celebration of all things Celtic. During the festival’s 10th anniversary this year, the sounds of vigorous fiddles, skirling bagpipes, boisterous bodhrans, dancing feet and singing voices will resound throughout downtown Vancouver, bringing together visitors and locals at more than 70 free and ticketed events. The largest and most popular is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which draws more than 300,000 cheering spectators and takes place on March 16 at 11:00 a.m. The parade features more than 2,000 participants, including pipe and drum bands, Celtic musicians, Scottish and Irish dancers, acrobats, stilt walkers, the Vancouver police motorcycle drill team, mounted horse drill teams and more.
