The 2014 PuSh Festival presents Club PuSh - Coastal Sounds

Details

PuSh International Performing Arts Festival & Theatre Conspiracy present:
Coastal Sounds

By Coastal Sound Youth Choir & Woodpigeon (Vancouver, Canada)

Not your average youth choir, Coastal Sound Youth Choir takes a creative and unique approach to choral music. With members ages 15 to 22, the group was the 2013 winner and 2011 finalist in the National Competition for Amateur Choirs, the 2011 and 2012 most outstanding choir at the National Music Festival, and represented Canada at the 2013 Chorus America Conference. For their performance at Club PuSh, they perform with ultra- hip Woodpigeon (a.k.a. Calgarian Mark Andrew Hamilton), who the Edmonton Journal has praised for his "heart melting melodies... that will swell you with warmth and with love." The choir and Woodpigeon will perform a mix of indie rock, classical, avant-garde choral music, and a joint set of original Woodpigeon songs.

Club PuSh is the social hub of the PuSh Festival, where you can meet up with friends to grab a drink and catch a startling performance. It's all about cutting-edge performance in a less formal, less traditional space. Intimate and dynamic, Club PuSh features an amazing lineup of Marquee Acts alive with experimental spirit.
