MOA at UBC invites visitors on a twisting, mind-expanding journey with The Marvellous Real: Art from Mexico, 1926-2011 featuring works from luminary artist Frida Kahlo, Betsabeé Romero, Dr. Atl and more.

Drawn from the prestigious FEMSA Collection and curated by Nicola Levell, the exhibition features 54 artworks that encapsulate Mexico’s particular, fantastic form of magic realism and offer worldviews filtered through a range of abstract, surreal, and embellished prisms.
