During the holiday season the Miniature Train goes through a festive transformation and turns into the Bright Nights Train.
Stanley Park is illuminated by two million twinkling lights, and visitors see animated displays and listen to holiday classics while sipping on hot chocolate and enjoying fresh popcorn or roasted nuts.
Partial proceeds from the sale of Bright Nights tickets go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund, which helps burn survivors and their families.
Bright Nights is an annual event in Stanley Park and is extremely popular. It's advisable to buy tickets in advance. Avoid crowds by coming from Monday to Thursday during the first two weeks.
You can buy tickets in advance (up to 9am the day of the event) for all Bright Nights train rides, except:
* Sunday train rides - Ticketmaster cuts sales off at 9am on the Saturday prior.
* Rides on 24, 26, 27 and 28 December - Ticketmaster cuts sales off for these days at 9am on 23 December.
* Rides on 1 and 2 January - Ticketmaster cuts sales off for these days at 9am on 31 December.
Tickets will be available on 1 October from all Ticketmaster locations, including the Ticketmaster kiosk inside the Tourism Vancouver Visitor Centre.
