BMO Bank of Montreal 2013 Vancouver Marathon

The BMO Vancouver Marathon and Half Marathon is organized and operated by the Vancouver International Marathon Society, a non-profit organization. The event is Canada's largest marathon and has a 41-year history within Vancouver and the running community internationally. The event will take place on May 5, 2013, featuring the three point-to-point courses, showcasing the city's famous landmarks, shorelines and neighborhoods.

The 2013 events will remain capped at 5,000 for the Marathon, 10,000 for the Half-Marathon, 2,000 for the 8km, 500 for 8km Teen Challenge and 500 for the Kids 1-Mile Fun run participants.

Over 80,000 spectators are expected to be attracted along the 42.2km and 21.1km courses with increased musical entertainment and promoted spectator viewing in all twelve neighbourhoods.

Find dancers, Kids' Zone, food sampling, the Awards Stage, souvenir products and more as Hastings Street turns into a family-friendly Street Festival on race day. Invite your friends and family to watch you cross the Finish Line and enjoy the entertainment at the Street Festival from 8.30am to 2pm on Sunday May 5th.

The Street Festival builds on the spirit of celebration that Vancouverites experienced during the Olympics. It will be a fun, easy-going, family friendly gathering for runners, spectators, supporters and tourists. Arrange to meet your family, friends and entourage at the Street Festival. Hang out. Grab a java. The Street Festival will be the place to be on Sunday, May 5th.

The Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo will be located at Canada Place in the Vancouver Convention Center East, 999 Canada Place (the host of Marathon weekend).
