A backstage pass to the secret lives of elves.

“The funniest Christmas play ever written” is a biting and slightly fictionalized account of humourist David Sedaris’ time as one of Macy’s store Christmas elves.

An unemployed writer in need of holiday cash becomes “Crumpet”, a magical elf in Macy’s NYC SantaLand.  In striped tights and pointy shoes, Crumpet uses a host of wild impersonations to bring to life hordes of holiday shoppers, bratty kids, overzealous parents, store management, other elves, and even the jolly men who wear the red suit.

Alan Marriott (Crumpet).  A veteran of London’s Reduced Shakespeare Company and Vancouver TheatreSports, Alan is a 30 year voice actor best known for Bob the Builder, Band of Brothers, and Dinosaur Train.
Sandra-Mae Luykx (supporting characters). World-renowned musician and songwriter, Sandra-Mae brings a decade of performance and music to SantaLand.

Mature content – NOT recommended for children.

“This caustic Christmas carol is a laughter-spiked antidote to the holiday blues!”
“Don’t miss this wicked wonderland and exposé of all things elfin.”

Produced by GTI Theatrical Productions SocietyLogo Grand Theft Improv

Directed by Alan Marriott & Bill Allman
