MULAN will surprise audiences with breathtaking performances and inspire them with the most touching story. The story of Mulan dates back to over 1,600 years ago. At that time, each family was given a conscription notice, requiring one man from each family to join the Chinese army. When Mulan, the eldest child of the family, hears that her elderly father, (the only man in their family) who is gravely ill, is forced to join the army, she decides to stand in his place, disguising herself as a young man. When her Father learns that Mulan has taken his place he prays to his family’s ancestors to protect her. Mulan conceals her true identity and defends her country dressed as a man. When the war ended, the Khan rewarded her, its then that her secret is revealed. Her loyalty to the Khan and parents is highly praised by the people and becomes a legend. A beautiful story about loyalty and devotion.
